Queer Night of Expression, hosted by the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs, gives LGBTQIA+ students the opportunity to celebrate their identities through any artistic expression. Those looking for an opportunity to express themselves in a welcoming environment and identify as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community are encouraged to sign up to perform. Wednesdays in the Workshop (on the Web): Creating Virtual Worlds With PlayCanvas

Virtual Worlds is a teaching resource focusing on experiencing, making and sharing virtual places using a 3D real-time gaming engine. Versions of this curriculum are designed for both PlayCanvas and Unity. This workshop, hosted by the VCU Libraries Workshop, includes an overview of the resource, student examples and an activity covering the basics of PlayCanvas. Equity Theme Meeting: Child Health Research Institute

Select Monroe Park Campus Parking Decks To Close Beginning 10 p.m. Nov. 2
All Monroe Park Campus parking decks, with the exception of the West Main Street Deck, will be closed 10 p.m. Nov. 2 through 7 a.m. Nov. 4. Those who need to access their vehicle during the closure can relocate to the West Main Street Deck or any nonreserved space at a VCU parking lot beginning at 11 a.m. on Oct. 30.

The Medical Journal Club at VCU, working through the Village Book Builders, a national mentoring organization, is seeking highly motivated participants to join a research initiative in Uganda. Joining the team could involve creating a plan of research, collecting data and writing the draft.
