Duron Chavis, founder and director of Happily Natural Day, has transformed the ICA parking lot into a resiliency garden intended to help create a culture of urban farming and inspire city residents to make positive environmental and social change. Request for Feedback: Provost Search
The search for VCU’s next provost and senior vice president for academic affairs has officially launched. Cultural Competency and Language Classes
The VCU Office of Continuing and Professional Education, in partnership with the School of World Studies, will hold live online cultural competency and language classes for VCU and VCU Health employees and community members for one academic credit. Courses will be held the week of Jan. 25 through early May. Introduction to Conversational Spanish I & II and Introduction to Conversational Italian I are available. Limited Submission Funding Opportunity for NIH/NCI NCI Early Stage Postdoctoral Researchers (K99/R00)
Massey Cancer Center is accepting applications for the NCI K99/R00 internal competition. The NCI Early K99/R00 program is designed to suit the career paths of postdoctoral fellows pursuing careers in Data Science and Cancer Control Science, who typically require only a short period of mentored research training beyond their doctoral degrees before obtaining independent faculty positions. Applicants must have a maximum of two years of postdoctoral research experience by Feb. 26, 2021. The internal application deadline is Dec. 17.

Health Coverage Premium Holiday for December 2020
Faculty and staff who participate in state health coverage (COVA plans, Optima Health or Kaiser) will not be charged December premiums. TRICARE Supplement participants are not eligible for the premium holiday.
