'The World We Want Is Us'

Free Flu Vaccines - USHS
University Student Health Services offers free flu vaccines to all students on both campuses. The flu vaccine is safe, effective and does not cause the flu. All students are encouraged to get the flu vaccine, especially those at high-risk for flu complications who may have asthma, diabetes or heart disease. V Foundation Scholar Grant for Black/African American Cancer Researchers
This grant opportunity is limited to researchers who self-identify as Black/African American. Plan Ahead: Request Interlibrary Loans and Deliveries Now
VCU Libraries' Interlibrary Loan and Delivery Services will be closed during the VCU Winter Break Dec. 19-Jan. 3, 2021. The time required to obtain materials from other institutions increases greatly during December and January due to breaks, holiday mail volume and increased end-of-semester workloads. Therefore, requests for research materials should be made as soon as possible.

Policy Reminder: Safety and Protection of Minors
The Safety and Protection of Minors Policy applies to all programs and activities involving non-enrolled minors and are sponsored by the university or conducted by other organizations on VCU’s campus, including camps, clinics, workshops, conferences, shadowing and virtual programming. All programs/activities must be registered at least 30 days in advance, complete necessary background checks and take appropriate policy training prior to the start of programming.

High-Fat Meal Study Now Recruiting Healthy Men and Women
The Department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences seeks nonsmoking men and women between the ages of 18-30 to participate in a study exploring the body’s response to a high-fat meal (chocolate pie). The study will require participants to attend three laboratory visits, all of which will be conducted at VCU's Exercise Physiology Research Laboratory according to VCU-approved safety precautions. Participants will be provided with detailed analysis of their body composition and fitness.
