Final Call: Proposals Sought for March Health Sciences Education Symposium

VCU’s School of Medicine is requesting proposals about educational research or innovations in health professions education at VCU. Visit the following URL to submit scholarly proposals, due Jan. 6. The awards allow researchers to collect data that will support external funding – for work that ultimately will improve patient and community health outcomes. Funding Opportunity: Damon Runyon Clinical Investigator Award

The Damon Runyon Clinical Investigator Award supports independent young physician-scientists conducting disease-oriented research that demonstrates a high level of innovation and creativity. The three-year award includes assistance with certain research costs and medical school debt relief. Applicants must be involved in patient care and be conducting research that has the potential to be translated to impact patients. A minimum of 80% of full-time professional effort must be committed.
