VRS Hybrid Contribution Deadline Is Dec. 15

Dec. 15 is the quarterly election deadline for voluntary contributions to become effective in January for participants in the Virginia Retirement System Hybrid Plan. Participants can voluntarily contribute up to 4 percent of their creditable salary and receive up to a 2.5 percent employer match.

New K Award Seminar Series Will Help VCU Early Career Faculty Apply for NIH Grants

VCU's C. Kenneth and Dianne Wright Center for Clinical and Translational Research introduces a new seminar series that will serve as an insider’s guide to the National Institutes of Health’s K Awards for career development. Successful K Award applicants will share tips and tricks that those who attend can apply to their own writing. The five-part series begins Dec. 16.

Voicemail System Upgrade

VCU Telecommunications will upgrade the voicemail system that serves the University and Health System communities on Dec. 10 from 6 p.m. to approximately midnight. During that time all automated attendants and caller menus will continue to function normally. Callers will still be able to leave messages in voicemail boxes. However, subscribers will be unable to retrieve those messages until the upgrade is completed. All messages, passwords and greetings will be retained.
