New This Semester: Stricter Enforcement of Face-Covering Rules at VCU Libraries

Expect stricter enforcement of VCU’s requirement to wear a face covering over the nose and mouth at all times in library buildings. Non-complying users who refuse to provide their VCU ID when asked will be required to leave the building immediately. Continued noncompliance may result in the suspension of access to library buildings and disciplinary action in accordance with university policy.

Jan Chlebowski Memorial Research Award

The late Jan F. Chlebowski, Ph.D., was the founding faculty advisor for Women in Science at VCU and an advocate for the advancement of women in STEM. In his memory, Women in Science at VCU offers a research award to all eligible WIS members. Women in Science at VCU will be offering two research awards: one $300 award and one $200 award. Study of Brain Development in Typically Developing Infants

Researchers in the Department of Physical Therapy and Pediatric Radiology are conducting a study to learn about brain development in healthy infants. Infants born 38-40 weeks are invited to participate and enrolled infants will undergo three MRI visits and three assessments during the first six months. You will be compensated for your time and travel. Unsedated MRI visits will be conducted in Children's Hospital of Richmond and developmental assessments can be conducted at home or VCU.
