VCU's L. Douglas Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs will host a lecture featuring John T. Cooper Jr., Ph.D., assistant vice president for Public Partnership and Outreach. Cooper is a professor in the Department of Landscape Architecture and Urban Planning at Texas A&M University. His research and teaching focuses on participatory planning, particularly as it relates to preparing socially vulnerable populations to prepare for, survive and recover after disasters. The Line in the Dust: School Segregation Now

VCU's Honors College will host Kimberly Bridges, Ed.L.D., assistant professor, for a Berglund seminar. Bridges will discuss why school segregation is still an issue in the Unites States today. She will also explore solutions as to how school leaders – and individuals – can bring about sustainable change for a future together rather than apart. Dismantling Mental Health Stigmas in Communities of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders

'Identifying COVID-19 Misinformation: Finding Trusted Information About COVID-19 and Vaccines'
