America's Founding Monsters: A Research and Graphical Approach

'The Armenian Genocide in the Shadow of Nagorno-Karabakh'

VCU's Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies of the School of World Studies will present Melanie O'Brien, Ph.D., senior lecturer in international law, University of Western Australia, an award-winning teacher of international humanitarian law, public international law and legal research. The event is in keeping with the annual VCU tradition of commemorating the Armenian genocide and honors a connection forged by the late VCU professor Herbert Hirsch with Richmond's Armenian community. VCU First Destination Survey Is Live
The VCU First Destination Survey is live for May 2021 graduates on Handshake at VCU. Responses will help VCU to improve career and academic advising, student recruitment and student services. Prizes for completing the survey include AirPods, a Roku player, a robot vacuum, a VCU luggage set and Amazon gift cards. For six months after graduation, respondents will be able to review or change information and will remain eligible for prize drawings.

VCU Health Diversity Listening Sessions
Based on recent events impacting Asian, Asian American and Pacific Islander communities, the VCU Health Office of Diversity Equity and Inclusion and VCU Health Sciences academic units will host safe spaces for any VCU Health team member and VCU Health Sciences students, staff or faculty member to talk about recent events and share their lived experiences. Spit for Science: The VCU Student Survey
Are you a freshman at VCU age 18+? If so, you are eligible to take part in Spit for Science: The VCU Student Survey. This unique, important resource for research is a great way for students to be involved in helping investigators learn more about factors that influence student outcomes. This research project looks at how environmental and genetic factors contribute to emotional health along with alcohol and substance use habits. The project now also aims to learn about the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on students. All freshmen age 18 and older have been sent an email invitation, so be sure to check your inbox. An Amazon e-gift card is available upon completion.

Volunteers Sought for Alcohol Study
VCU's Institute for Drug and Alcohol Studies is inviting volunteers aged 21-55 who frequently drink alcohol to participate in a research study to add to the science for developing new treatments for people with alcohol use disorder.
