Minimum Wage Increases
The minimum wage will increase to $9.50 an hour for employees in Virginia on May 1. For VCU, this change will become effective on May 1. Pay increases become effective during the April 25 to May 9 pay period and will be reflected in May 14 paycheck.

Run for SGA: All Welcome
The SGA Undergraduate Government is seeking members for the inaugural Undergraduate Parliament, which under its newly ratified constitution will support VCU's undergraduate student body more directly. The parliament will consist of 24 seats which will be filled during the May 9-14 election. All applicants must attend one informational session offered April 29 and 30 at 6 p.m. There is no need to register in advance for the informational sessions. Broad Street Temporary Stops: Pulse and Routes 1A/B/C, 2A/B/C, 23x, 26x and 29x Affected
Until May 27, the Department of Public Works will close the eastbound Pulse Bus Only lane and the southern sidewalk of Broad Street from Eighth to Ninth streets during construction of the Virginia General Assembly Parking Garage. Riders on the Pulse, Routes 1A/B/C Southbound, 2A/B/C Southbound, 23x, 26x, and 29x will be affected and will have to use alternate stops. Pulse riders using Government Center East must use a temporary bus stop located at Broad/Seventh.

Virginia Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities
Va-LEND (Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities) is recruiting its next cohort of trainees. The program, created to improve the health and lives of children and adults with disabilities and their family members, helps people share ideas and learn leadership skills. Trainees complete classes, clinical observations, policy activities and a family mentorship experience. Over the course of the program, trainees work on a leadership project which they present at the end of the program. Trainees complete 150 or 300 hours of content.
