The Evolution of Anime Art: Understanding the Impact of Diversity and Gatekeeping

Anime is not new, but it has become quite popular in the United States in the past few years. VCU's Office of Multicultural Student Affairs will host an in-depth look the evolution of anime art over time to include more racially diverse populations and its impact on popularizing the entertainment form. The session will also explore how this has opened the door to gatekeeping and its effect on fans who are people of color.

Emerging Roles of MicroRNAs in Cancer
