The Evolution of Anime Art: Understanding the Impact of Diversity and Gatekeeping

Anime is not new, but it has become quite popular in the United States in the past few years. VCU's Office of Multicultural Student Affairs will host an in-depth look the evolution of anime art over time to include more racially diverse populations and its impact on popularizing the entertainment form. The session will also explore how this has opened the door to gatekeeping and its effect on fans who are people of color.

VCU Archery Club To Host Ax-Throwing Fundraiser
5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
VCU's Archery Club will host an ax-throwing fundraiser with The Virginia Axe Company at 2305 Commerce Center Drive, Rockville. Proceeds will go toward the organization's goal of becoming the first collegiate mounted archery team.

Camp Kesem at VCU will present Make the Magic, a virtual fundraising gala to support children through and beyond their parent's cancer. This virtual event will contain a livestream with guest speakers and an opportunity to support this often-overlooked population of kids. VCU Opera To Livestream Scenes From the Past 10 Years

Science, Climate Change and How 'Rising' Can Help Us Communicate in the Classroom

Emerging Roles of MicroRNAs in Cancer
