The Space Between Spaces: Lived Experiences of Asian Transracial Adoptees

VCU's Office of Multicultural Student Affairs will host Hollee McGinnis, MSSW, Ph.D., assistant professor, for a presentation in conjunction with Asian/Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. The presentation will include an overview of the history and practice of transracial adoption of Asian children and the complexity of living and loving across differences of race, nationality and blood. Workshops: Stages of Change and Motivational Interviewing In a Trafficked Patient

Students Fighting Human Trafficking is hosting two workshops on Motivational Interviewing and the Stages of Change Model in a Trafficked Patient on April 30, at 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m., led by Candace Wheeler. Join the workshops on Zoom and learn how to interact with patients who are being trafficked and use these techniques in this hands-on experience.
