Rec Sports To Offer Children's Swim Lessons
VCU Recreational Sports will offer two summer sessions of swim lessons for children (parent/child, preschool 1-3) at Cary Street Gym Aquatic Center, 101 S. Linden St. The first session will be on Saturdays, June 5-26. Register by noon June 4. The second session will be on Saturdays, July 10-31. Register by noon July 9.

Balanced Man Scholarship Application
Sigma Phi Epsilon chapter at VCU is hosting its annual Balanced Man Scholarship that awards $2,000 to winners. The chapter will recognize those who uphold values such as academic excellence, demonstration of leadership skills and commitment to personal and community well-being. VCU's School of Medicine is accepting nominations for the School of Medicine Teaching Excellence Awards. Recipients will be selected for four awards: The Enrique Gerszten M.D. Faculty Teaching Excellence Award, Irby James Award for Excellence in Clinical Teaching, Distinguished Mentor Award and the Educational Innovation/Educational Research Award. Quantification of Neural Development in Infancy
Researchers in VCU's Department of Physical Therapy and Radiology are conducting a study to learn about infant brain development. Infants born between 38-40 weeks and under three months are invited to participate in the study. Enrolled infants will undergo three MRI visits and three assessments during the first six months of life. MRI visits will be at Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU and assessments can be completed at the infant’s home or in lab.
