To a great extent, the struggle to reclaim Richmond's Black history and that of slavery's role in the city's early growth has also been about changing the priorities for civic planning and development. In this session, Ana Edwards, chair of the Sacred Ground Historical Reclamation Project, will lead a discussion on efforts to acknowledge the history of Black life in Richmond. BCX Preview Session: 'Design as a Catalyst for Change'

BCX, the VCU Brandcenter’s executive education division, will host a preview session for the upcoming “Design as a Catalyst for Change” program. In the free 30-minute session, instructor Andrew LeVasseur will provide an overview of the six-week program, describing the role played by design in creating better user experiences to generate positive business outcomes.
