Palliative Care: Improving Quality of Life for Cancer Patients

Palliative care is specialized medical care given to relieve pain and distress in patients with serious illnesses which can be received simultaneously with any life-prolonging or curative therapy. Join Danielle Noreika, M.D., an expert in pain management and palliative care at VCU Massey Cancer Center, as she explains how effective palliative care uses a holistic approach to improve the quality of life for cancer patients and provides support for families and caregivers. 'Storytelling: An Act of Memory, Imagination and Vision'
