Counter-Cartographies of Smell at ICA With Artist agustine zegers
5 p.m.
This summer, the ICA Shop will present a series of intimate live programming events each Friday evening. Artist agustine zegers will guide a small group in an olfactory walkthrough the Institute for Contemporary Art at the Markel Center, 601 W. Broad St., with key stopping points. At each point, participants will take notes and explore different facets of the scent produced in response to the smellscapes of the ICA.

Convocation and Ram Spirit Walk
Monday, Aug. 23, 2021 at 4 p.m.
The Ram Spirit Walk will take place immediately after New Student Convocation. In the Welcome Week tradition, the Class of 2025, incoming transfer students and the Peppas spirit band will march from Monroe Park to a block party. Join the procession in the park or along the route to welcome new students to VCU. Starting in Monroe Park, students will take a right on Franklin Street, a right on Belvidere Street, a right on Main Street and right on Linden Street, ending on Floyd Avenue. The Spirit Walk can also be joined remotely and viewed online. Convocation will be streamed on the VCU Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/virginiacommonwealthuniversity) and the Ram Spirit Walk will be streamed on the Students Today Alumni Tomorrow Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/vcu_stat/).
