Pancreatic cancer is often diagnosed at an advanced stage, and differences in individual genes and tumors can influence how each patient should be treated. Join Jose Trevino, M.D., FACS, surgeon-in-chief at VCU Massey Cancer Center, as he discusses basic and clinical research efforts that address pancreatic cancer disparities and pave the way for more personalized medicines and better quality of life for patients with the disease. Applications Open for VCU P.R.I.M.E. Executive Board and Track Liaison
VCU P.R.I.M.E. (Professional Health and Related Interests Mentoring Experiences) is seeking new executive board members and track liaisons for the next academic year. New members will be brought onto the executive board in Fall 2021 and spend the first two semesters shadowing, learning from the current executive board and actively participating in P.R.I.M.E. duties. Track liaisons will be responsible for communicating the needs of the students within their pre-health track/major with the executive board to ensure that P.R.I.M.E. serves all the group's members.

Applications Sought for Inaugural Cohort of 'The Queerantine Archive Project'
The Queerantine Archive Project will explore LGBTQIA2+ community life during COVID-19. The project will be funded by VCU's Relevant, Experiential and Applied Learning (REAL) Challenge Grant. The inaugural cohort of student researchers will gain training in feminist research methods and engage in academic and professional work in their areas of interest (graphic design, website construction, interviewing and more).
