Deep Stretch With Jess
Friday, Jun. 25, 2021 from noon to 12:30 p.m.
This slower, 30-minute session will focus on actively stretching muscles and opening connective tissue. Release built-up tension, prevent injury, increase blood flow to muscles and boost long-term flexibility. No equipment is required, but a yoga mat is recommended. IExcel Diversity and Inclusion Leadership Certificate Courses

New IExcel Diversity and Inclusion Leadership Certificate specialization online courses will be offered a la carte July 12 for VCU faculty/staff in leadership roles. Applicants may choose one or two specialization courses (Cultivating Inclusive Learning Environments D527, Diversity and Inclusion in Healthcare D604 or Advancing Diversity and Equity in Corporate Settings D707) to be taken online July 12-Aug. 9. The a la carte fee is $500 per course, payable by departmental transfer. A certificate will be awarded to each participant who successfully completes the course. Enrollment is limited. Cashiers Office To Close Early for Fiscal Year End
VCU's Cashiers Office, Grace Harris Hall, 1015 Floyd Ave., will close at noon on June 30 due to Fiscal Year End. All materials should be to the office by 11:45 a.m. to insure timely processing. The office will reopen at 8 a.m. on July 1.

Pilot Grant Awards for VCU Parkinson's and Movement Disorders Center
VCU's Parkinson's and Movement Disorders Center will present up to three $50,000 pilot grant awards this year. The release date was 8 a.m. June 21. Apply at the following URL by 5 p.m. July 30.

Volunteers Needed for COVID-19 Research Study
Researchers are looking for VCU employees, as well as their family members, to volunteer for the COVID-CARES study. Volunteers must be aged 18 and older and have one of the following apply to them: have had a known exposure to COVID-19 in the last 14 days, currently have suspected COVID-19 symptoms, or have had no known exposure to COVID-19 and no suspected COVID-19 symptoms. Volunteers will be asked to review and electronically sign an informed consent document, complete a survey pertaining to your current symptoms (if any) and any known exposures in the last 14 days. You will be asked to complete two COVID tests at home, which will be provided at no cost. Volunteers are paid for their time.
