Exhibition Opening: 'It Will Always Come Back to You'
Friday, Jul. 23, 2021 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The ICA at VCU will host the opening of "Ibrahim Ahmed: It Will Always Come Back to You" at the Markel Center, 601 W. Broad St. The museum's first in-person exhibition opening since February 2020 will feature DJ sets by Ezrakh and DJ Graybeard, a live performance by artist Nyugen Smith and a conversation featuring Ahmed and director and curator Dominic Asmall Willsdon. The indoor/outdoor event is free and open to the public.

ChamberRVA, along with VCU, VCU Health and other sponsors, will host a summer series of virtual conversations inspired by the recent Brookings Institute report, “From Commitment to Action: How CEOs Can Advance Racial Equity in Their Regional Economies.” The second conversation in the series will be "Shifting Mindsets and Internal Business Practices With the Brookings Institute and Opportunity Hub." The final conversation, "Setting an Agenda and Measuring Progress Toward Inclusive Growth With the Greater Washington Partnership," will be 9:30-10:30 a.m. Aug. 12.
