VCU Police will host a U-Lock giveaway and bike registration in front of the James W. and Frances G. McGlothlin Medical Education Center, 1201 E. Marshall St., on the MCV campus. VCU students, faculty and staff can receive a free U-Lock with a valid VCU ID and learn how to register their bikes. A limited supply of U-Locks will be provided. Freedom of Media in the Era of Authoritarian Populism: The Case of Turkey

Halloween Bake Sale

An exhibition of artworks by Murry N. DePillars, Ph.D., (dean of VCU's School of the Arts from 1976-1995) will be on exhibit through Oct. 14 in the building that bears his name at 1000 W. Participate in a Focus Group on Lung Cancer Screening
VCU Health and Massey Cancer Center are conducting focus groups to understand the experiences of Black men who smoke or used to smoke and their opinions about lung cancer screening, smoking cessation and health care disparities in Virginia. Eligibility criteria: identify as a Black male, current or former smoker and 50 years old or older. Filipino American Heart Health Study
Youssef Roman, Pharm.D., Ph.D., of VCU's School of Pharmacy is conducting a study to assess the prevalence and causes of heart diseases in Filipino Americans. This study is for anyone who considers themselves as Filipino with both biological parents of Filipino heritage. The study is funded by VCU's C. Kenneth and Dianne Wright Center for Clinical and Translational Research.
