These online courses, on popular digital data tools currently used by digital sociologists, are free to current VCU students. This hands-on training can advance individual research and professional skill sets. The second course will focus on introducing students to working with data from social media platforms by interacting with their Application Program Interface. API is the intermediary that allows two applications to talk to each other. Digital Tech Credential

Earn The Capital CoLab Digital Tech Credential by completing a prerequisite course in Computers and Programming and take courses in Data Science Skills and Cybersecurity Skills through the Department of Computer Science in VCU's College of Engineering. Fall courses begin Aug. 24. Nondegree-seeking students, including VCU and VCU Health employees, can register through VCU Continuing and Professional Education. Eligible employees may use their tuition benefit/education assistance.

Cultural Competency and Language Classes

VCU Continuing and Professional Education, in partnership with the School of World Studies, will hold live online cultural competency and language classes for VCU and VCU Health employees and community members for one academic credit. Virtual Reality Gaming for Back Pain

Are you currently experiencing low back pain, between the ages of 18-60 years old and interested in the possibility of nine weeks of nonsurgical experimental treatment? If you answered yes to all three you may qualify for our research. What? New, innovative and fun virtual reality games are designed to help people with chronic back pain move and feel better. Where? All appointments, testing and treatments are conducted at VCU. When? Participation in the study involves 24 one-hour appointments scheduled over a 57-week period. Who?
