VCU's Digital Sociology Lab will present its inaugural Summer Learning Series in three, six-hour sessions. These online courses, on popular digital data tools currently used by digital sociologists, are free to current VCU students. This hands-on training can advance individual research and professional skill sets. The second course will focus on introducing students to working with data from social media platforms by interacting with their Application Program Interface. API is the intermediary that allows two applications to talk to each other.
