SHRM Exam Prep
Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2021 from 5:45 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The Center for Corporate Education at VCU's School of Business will present the Society for Human Resource Management Exam Prep. Prepare for the SHRM-CP or SHRM-CSP exam with a practicing HR leader and SHRM-certified instructor. The course, to be held at Snead Hall, 301 W. Main St., will run for 14 weeks beginning Aug. 31 and concluding Dec. 14. A registration fee of $1,600 includes all materials and online learning software.

Submit Project Requests for Planning, Design, Construction and Renovation
All new planning, design, construction and renovation project requests should be submitted to VCU Facilities Management via eBuilder, which will be used to track and manage projects throughout their life cycle. This includes using eBuilder during the updated project design approval process to improve efficiency, transparency and coordination between Facilities Management and its stakeholders. … Ready, SET, Health. Researchers at VCU are looking for young women interested in changing their diet and physical activity routine to enroll in a new study. Eligible participants will receive a free program designed to help them meet their goals for healthy living. The study requires two in-person data collection visits (one before the program and one after), but the entire four-month program is conducted completely online.

Volunteers Needed for COVID-19 Study
Researchers are looking for VCU employees, as well as their family members, to volunteer for the COVID-CARES study. Volunteers must be 18 and older and have one of the following apply to them: have had a known exposure to COVID-19 in the last 14 days, currently have suspected COVID-19 symptoms, or have had no known exposure to COVID-19 and no suspected COVID-19 symptoms. Volunteers will be asked to review and electronically sign an informed consent document, complete a survey pertaining to your current symptoms (if any) and any known exposures in the last 14 days. You will be asked to complete two COVID tests at home, provided at no cost. Volunteers are paid for their time. Access the study website and see if you are eligible at the following URL.

Do You Vape Electronic Cigarettes?
Individuals who vape/use electronic cigarettes daily are needed to participate in a research study that requires multiple laboratory visits. Compensation will be provided. This study will be conducted at VCU. Principal investigator is Alison Breland, Ph.D., Department of Psychology.
