Learn more about the Society of Clinical Research Associates' certification program for clinical research professionals, an internationally accepted standard of knowledge, education and experience by which clinical research professionals are recognized. Topics will include candidate eligibility requirements, application process, certification exam outline and current exam format options. Convocation and Ram Spirit Walk
Monday, Aug. 23, 2021 at 4 p.m.
The Ram Spirit Walk will take place immediately after New Student Convocation. In the Welcome Week tradition, the Class of 2025, incoming transfer students and the Peppas spirit band will march from Monroe Park to a block party. Join the procession in the park or along the route to welcome new students to VCU. Starting in Monroe Park, students will take a right on Franklin Street, a right on Belvidere Street, a right on Main Street and right on Linden Street, ending on Floyd Avenue. The Spirit Walk can also be joined remotely and viewed online. Convocation will be streamed on the VCU Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/virginiacommonwealthuniversity) and the Ram Spirit Walk will be streamed on the Students Today Alumni Tomorrow Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/vcu_stat/).

SHRM Exam Prep
Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2021 from 5:45 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The Center for Corporate Education at VCU's School of Business will present the Society for Human Resource Management Exam Prep. Prepare for the SHRM-CP or SHRM-CSP exam with a practicing HR leader and SHRM-certified instructor. The course, to be held at Snead Hall, 301 W. Main St., will run for 14 weeks beginning Aug. 31 and concluding Dec. 14. A registration fee of $1,600 includes all materials and online learning software.

'Becoming an Antiracist Leader'
