Cooking by Camera: Cocina y Comunidad: Bienvenidos a Venezuela

Grab a few kitchen staples and join a VCU English Language Program student from Venezuela (fluent in Spanish, English and mountaineering) to cook together in an event hosted by VCU's Global Education Office in celebration of Latinx Heritage Month. Each student can follow the chef from their own kitchen via Zoom to learn to make Venezuelan arepas. Students will virtually share their creations with the group before sitting down to a meal together. The first 10 registrants will be eligible to pick up a bag of Harina Pan from GEO. Certified Scrum Master

VCU Health and Massey Cancer Center are conducting focus groups to understand the experiences of Black men who smoke or used to smoke and their opinions about lung cancer screening, smoking cessation and health care disparities in Virginia. Eligibility criteria: identify as a Black male, current or former smoker and 50 years old or older. COVID-19 Positive Volunteers Needed for Research Study
Researchers are looking for volunteers who were recently diagnosed with COVID to participate in the COVID-CARE study. Volunteers must be aged 18 and older, have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the last 48 hours and be located within the Richmond area. Volunteers will be asked to review and electronically sign an informed consent document, complete online surveys and complete two COVID tests at home, provided at no cost.
