Dineo Seshee Bopape Exhibit at ICA: 'Ile Aye, Moya, Là, Ndokh … Harmonic Conversations … mm'

"Ile aye, moya, là, ndokh … Harmonic Conversations … mm" is a solo exhibition by South African artist Dineo Seshee Bopape at VCU's Institute for Contemporary Art at the Markel Center, 601 W. Broad St. The show’s title calls to the elements – earth, wind, fire and water – summoned in various languages from West and Southern Africa. Images, objects and sounds made from soil and water resonate throughout this gallery. They point to cities, ports and waterways that played important roles in the enslavement of people.

Patients With Painful Diabetic Neuropathy Are Invited To Participate in a Study of a Potential New Treatment
We are inviting male and female Type 2 diabetes patients with painful diabetic neuropathy ages 18-75 to participate in a research investigation of a new treatment to alleviate pain and examine its effects on pain perception. In addition to the new treatment, this study involves completing surveys and undergoing tests to evaluate perceptions of pain. Volunteers will be compensated for their time. Participants are only required to come once for the study. The study is conducted within the VCU Neuromuscular Rehabilitation Engineering Lab. COVID-19 Positive Volunteers Needed for Research Study
Researchers are looking for volunteers who were recently diagnosed with COVID to participate in the COVID-CARE study. Volunteers must be aged 18 and older, have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the last 48 hours and be located within the Richmond area. Volunteers will be asked to review and electronically sign an informed consent document, complete online surveys and complete two COVID tests at home, provided at no cost.
