Building Advanced Portfolios and Websites With Editor X

VCU Police To Hold Drug Take-Back Event
Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
VCU Police Department and VCU's School of Pharmacy will participate in the DEA’s National Drug Take-Back Event at Monroe Park, 20 N. Laurel St., and Hunton Student Center (1110 E. Broad St.). Safely dispose of unused prescription drugs to keep the community and environment safe. Needles or syringes will not be accepted.

Fall Festival at VCU Commons Plaza

VCU's Theta Delta Chi will host a fall festival at the VCU Commons Plaza with live music, food trucks, games, vendors and a dunk tank. VCU Health and Massey Cancer Center are conducting focus groups to understand the experiences of Black men who smoke or used to smoke and their opinions about lung cancer screening, smoking cessation and health care disparities in Virginia. Join a Nationwide Research Effort To Create a Healthier Future
The All of Us Research Program at the National Institutes of Health is inviting more than a million people across the United States to help build one of the most diverse health databases of its kind. Patients With Painful Diabetic Neuropathy Are Invited To Participate in a Study of a Potential New Treatment
We are inviting male and female Type 2 diabetes patients with painful diabetic neuropathy ages 18-75 to participate in a research investigation of a new treatment to alleviate pain and examine its effects on pain perception. In addition to the new treatment, this study involves completing surveys and undergoing tests to evaluate perceptions of pain. Volunteers will be compensated for their time. Participants are only required to come once for the study. The study is conducted within the VCU Neuromuscular Rehabilitation Engineering Lab. Call for Research Participants
We are looking for healthy participants who are smokers to provide a blood sample for a research project investigating the immune function of blood cells of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). We are looking for participants without COPD as a control group for the study. In addition to the blood sample, we will ask you questions about your health and medications but no information will be gathered from your medical records. Participants will be compensated.
