VCU's Digital Sociology Lab will present its inaugural Summer Learning Series in three, six-hour sessions. These online courses, on popular digital data tools currently used by digital sociologists, are free to current VCU students. This hands-on training can advance individual research and professional skill sets. The second course will focus on introducing students to working with data from social media platforms by interacting with their Application Program Interface. API is the intermediary that allows two applications to talk to each other. Digital sociologists are interested in APIs because the data helps understand how people use social media networks like Facebook and Parlor to promote and exchange ideas. RSVP at the following URL.

VCU Continuing and Professional Education, in partnership with the Department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences, will hold face-to-face self-defense Aikido courses at The Fan Dojo for one academic credit.
