Research Study on Force Control and Perception in Young Children

Researchers in VCU's Occupational Therapy Department are conducting a study to learn about how children sense and feel their environment. Children between the ages of 6 to 72 months (including children who were born full term and also children who were born preterm) are invited to participate. Enrolled children will participate in a play-based assessment (including coloring and sticker activities, and play activities to assess overall development). Compensation will be provided.

Black College Students' Mental Health and Cultural Experiences Study

Patients With Painful Diabetic Neuropathy Are Invited To Participate in a Study of a Potential New Treatment

We are inviting male and female Type 2 diabetes patients with painful diabetic neuropathy ages 18-75 to participate in a research investigation of a new treatment to alleviate pain and examine its effects on pain perception. In addition to the new treatment, this study involves completing surveys and undergoing tests to evaluate perceptions of pain. Volunteers will be compensated for their time. Participants are only required to come once for the study. The study is conducted within the VCU Neuromuscular Rehabilitation Engineering Lab.
