VCU's Muslim Students Association will hold Jummah (Friday) prayer in the Virginia Rooms of the University Student Commons, 907 Floyd Ave. First Khutbah will be held at 1:15 p.m.; the second khutbah will be at 2:15 p.m. Masks will be required.

National Science Foundation Scholarship for Graduate Study in STEM Disciplines

VCU's National Scholarship Office will offer an informational session about the National Science Foundation's Graduate Research Fellowship Program in person at 701 W. Understanding Unconscious Bias

VCU's Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence will host a virtual learning community to explore peer-reviewed research on teaching and learning in higher education. The group will likely explore research on inclusive teaching and effective approaches to increase student engagement. Volunteers With Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Are Invited for Study Evaluating Effects of Noninvasive Brain Stimulation on Pain Perception in Patients With Diabetic Neuropathy
We are inviting male and female patients with diabetic neuropathy ages 18-75 to participate in a research investigation into the effects of noninvasive brain stimulation on pain perception. This study involves transcranial magnetic stimulation, which is a noninvasive and widely used brain stimulation technique. It also involves completing surveys and undergoing tests to evaluate perceptions of pain. Volunteers will be compensated for their time. You are only required to come once for the study and it will take approximately two to two-and-a-half hours to complete the study. The study is conducted within the VCU Neuromuscular Rehabilitation Engineering Lab at 737 N. Fifth St. Recruitment is ongoing.
