Richmond Indie Comic Expo

Center for Pharmacy Practice Innovation Seminar: Diabetes Prevention Program

VCU's Center for Pharmacy Practice Innovation is closing out its Fall 2021 seminar series with a joint talk from its co-directors, Dave Dixon, Pharm.D., and Teresa Salgado, M.Pharm., Ph.D., on their work and research with the Center for Disease Control's National Diabetes Prevention Program. Dixon and Salgado's presentations are titled "Survey of CDC-Recognized Community Pharmacies Providing the Diabetes Prevention Program," and "Assessment of a Diabetes Prevention Program using the Theoretical Domains Framework: A Qualitative Analysis," respectively. Canvas Exports and Imports

VCU Learning Systems will facilitate a workshop for faculty who want to learn how to prepare their courses in Canvas. The overview of this new LMS environment will include the steps for exporting and importing course material, including content exported from Blackboard. Diversity and Inclusion Facilitator Training

Apply now to learn about inclusive dialogue and to practice and increase your skills in leading inclusive dialogue about our diverse social identities. IExcel is accepting applications now for its new Diversity and Inclusion Facilitator Training, led by Tamisha Williams. Participants will reflect on identity, practice deep listening and discuss ways to address tension and conflict, among other core facilitation skills. Selected facilitators who opt for the RAMmalogues Facilitator Track will earn $500 and commit to co-facilitating RAMmalogues sessions (at least once per semester through 2022). Richmond Marathon To Cause Traffic Disruptions
Facilities Management advises that the Richmond Marathon will cause street closures and detours on Nov. 13 from 4 a.m.-3 p.m. on both the Monroe Park and MCV campuses. Race organizers recommend using the Waze traffic app to help navigate on race day as road closures have been preloaded into the app. Anyone traveling to campus should allow extra time to reach their destination.

Road Closures Will Be In Effect Citywide for the Richmond Marathon; Towing Starts Nov. 12 at 9 p.m.
The Richmond Marathon is Nov. 13. VCU Police and Richmond Police encourage everyone to stay safe and prepare ahead. Plan your route, know the road closures and find alternate parking if necessary.
