VDMX is a tool used for live video performance that includes a range of effects to create interactive elements that can accompany live music or be used for standalone installations. 'Unrooting the Unperceived: Understanding and Confronting Anti-Native Sentiments in Latin America'

Polanco will explore the origins of mestizaje (mixed race) in Latin America and the implicit and explicit links this concept has with anti-Native sentiments. He will unearth early colonial definitions of mestizo and ladino to understand how Spaniards "created the Indian" and attempted to destroy complex and diverse Native cultures. Now Accepting Proposals for VCU Faculty-Led Study Abroad and Study Away Programs
VCU's Global Education Office is now accepting proposals for faculty-led short-term study abroad (international) and study away (domestic) programs for the 2021-2022 academic year. Faculty members interested in creating new programs are invited to begin working with the Global Education Office on developing their ideas for 2023 and beyond.
