Meet RecWell's Peer Health Educators in the lobby of James Branch Cabell Library, 901 Park Ave., and discuss how to prioritize physical well-being. The educators will help students review their physical activity and nutrition habits and create plans to incorporate physical self-care during finals.

Increased Security and Police Patrols During Finals
As students study on campus at night for final exams, VCU Police will increase the number of patrols on the Monroe Park Campus. In addition, RMC Security will also increase the number of mobile patrols around James Branch Cabell Library. Enhanced patrols will start at 9 p.m. on Dec. 10 and continue through 3 a.m. each night. Should community members witness suspicious behavior at any time, they are encouraged to call VCU Police at the following telephone number or use the LiveSafe app.

Participants Are Invited For Study Examining Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) and Exercise
This study is seeking individuals between the ages of 18 and 35 years who have GAD or symptoms of GAD. The purpose of this research study is to examine the effect of GAD symptoms on blood vessel function during acute exercise and in response to exercise training. This study will be conducted at 500 Academic Centre on VCU’s Monroe Park Campus. Principal Investigator: Ryan Garten, Ph.D., Department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences.

Filipino American Heart Health Study
Youssef Roman, Pharm.D., Ph.D., of VCU's School of Pharmacy is conducting a study to assess the prevalence and causes of heart diseases in Filipino Americans. This study is for anyone who considers themselves as Filipino with both biological parents of Filipino heritage. The study is funded by VCU's C. Kenneth and Dianne Wright Center for Clinical and Translational Research.
