VCU Guitar Series To Present Andrew Stevenson, Classical Guitar

The VCU Guitar Series will feature Andrew Stevenson in concert at Vlahcevic Concert Hall, W.E. Singleton Center for the Performing Arts, 922 Park Ave. Stevenson, an alumnus of the VCU Department of Music, recently completed his Masters of Music degree at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London. The program will feature works by Ponce, Ohana, Kellner and Jose. Admission is free. For those attending in person, a mask is required. The event will also be livestreamed at go.vcu.edu/concerthall.

Patients With Painful Diabetic Neuropathy Are Invited To Participate in a Study of a Potential New Treatment
We are inviting male and female Type 2 diabetes patients with painful diabetic neuropathy ages 18-75 to participate in a research investigation of a new treatment to alleviate pain and examine its effects on pain perception. In addition to the new treatment, this study involves completing surveys and undergoing tests to evaluate perceptions of pain. Volunteers will be compensated for their time. Participants are only required to come once for the study. The study is conducted within the VCU Neuromuscular Rehabilitation Engineering Lab. VCU Health and Massey Cancer Center are conducting focus groups to understand the experiences of Black men who smoke or used to smoke and their opinions about lung cancer screening, smoking cessation and health care disparities in Virginia. Eligibility criteria: identify as a Black male, current or former smoker and 50 years old or older.
