MCC Science Writing Internship Accepting Applications

The inaugural VCU Massey Cancer Center Walter Lawrence Scholars Initiative will be launched in summer 2022 to create a pipeline of interns from Virginia in scientific writing and science communication. The initiative will support interns with a minimum of a completed master's degree or higher who are interested in learning about career pathways in the U.S. Biomedical, Clinical, Behavioral and Social Sciences Research Enterprise. Filipino American Heart Health Study

Youssef Roman, Pharm.D., Ph.D., of VCU's School of Pharmacy is conducting an epidemiological study to assess the prevalence and causes of heart diseases in Filipino Americans. This study is for those who consider themselves Filipino with both biological parents of Filipino heritage. The study is funded by VCU's C. Kenneth and Dianne Wright Center for Clinical and Translational Research.
