VCU Alumni is seeking nominations for the 2022 10 Under 10 awards, which which recognize distinctive achievements by alumni who have earned their first VCU degree within the past 10 years. Nominations can be made by any person or group affiliated with VCU — students, faculty, staff or alumni. Nominees must have graduated with their first degree from VCU between 2012 and 2021. Nominees are evaluated on their professional success, community contributions or commitment to maintaining a lifelong relationship with the university. This award recognizes accomplishments of the individual after graduation from VCU, although their student experience can be one factor in their nomination. Along with these core criteria, consideration is as given to alumni who embody VCU’s core values, have a unique or distinctive life experience or career and represent VCU’s diverse alumni population. Patients With Painful Diabetic Neuropathy Are Invited To Participate in a Study of a Potential New Treatment
We are inviting male and female Type 2 diabetes patients with painful diabetic neuropathy ages 18-75 to participate in a research investigation of a new treatment to alleviate pain and examine its effects on pain perception. In addition to the new treatment, this study involves completing surveys and undergoing tests to evaluate perceptions of pain. Volunteers will be compensated for their time. Participants are only required to come once for the study.
