VCU Police Urge Drivers To Keep Vehicles Locked
Following a surge of motor vehicle thefts, VCU Police urges drivers to lock windows and doors and to take the keys when parking. A vehicle left running and unattended may be targeted by thieves, who need only a moment to steal it. Plan ahead and find a legal spot in which to safely park. As a courtesy, meet delivery drivers when they arrive; consider heading toward the pick-up point one to two minutes before the arrival of the driver.

COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics for Students
University Student Health Services currently offers free COVID-19 vaccines to all students on both campuses. In addition, there will be two upcoming clinics at the Seigel Center lobby, 1200 W. Broad St., Bowe Street entrance on Jan. 25 and Feb. 1 by appointment only. To schedule: https://health.students.vcu.edu/web-portal/. The Pfizer vaccine will be offered to students at these two clinics. If you are under 18, you may receive Pfizer vaccine with parental consent. About your appointment: Reschedule if you are sick. VCU RecWell OAP Spring Break: Joshua Tree Climbing Trip
Join VCU RecWell Outdoor Adventure Program on a spring break climbing trip to Joshua Tree National Park in California. Participants will camp within the park while also participating in a variety of top rope and lead climbing experiences for climbers of all experience levels. This trip will also feature hikes throughout the park, facilitated yoga sessions and nightly stargazing. The trip will be March 6-13. Register through Feb. 1 at the following URL.

VCU Recreation and Well-Being Instructional Program: Bootcamp
Bootcamp is a high-intensity class with options to boost cardio or focus on strength. A RecWell personal trainer will teach participants how to utilize these conditioning tools to increase strength, power and coordination. While this class will have higher intensity components, options are offered to adjust workouts to the skill and fitness level of each participant. Session 1 will be Jan. 25-March 2. Patients With Painful Diabetic Neuropathy Are Invited To Participate in a Study of a Potential New Treatment
We are inviting male and female Type 2 diabetes patients with painful diabetic neuropathy ages 18-75 to participate in a research investigation of a new treatment to alleviate pain and examine its effects on pain perception. In addition to the new treatment, this study involves completing surveys and undergoing tests to evaluate perceptions of pain. Volunteers will be compensated for their time. Participants are only required to come once for the study.
