Volunteers Needed for Full-Scale Training Exercise

VCU Emergency Management will host a full-scale, multijurisdictional training exercise on the Monroe Park Campus on Thursday, July 25. Volunteers are sought to act as casualties for the duration of the training. Global Zone Training - Micro-Credentials and Digital Badge Opportunity

RecWell Outdoor Adventure Day Caving

Join RecWell’s Outdoor Adventure Program on Saturday, July 13 for a day of caving in western Virginia. This beginner-friendly trip, is open to VCU students and RecWell members. No caving experience is needed. Explore the vast caverns beneath us and learn about cave formations first-hand from our experienced leaders. Transportation, equipment and guides will be provided. RecWell Outdoor Adventure Program Weekly Activities

RecWell Small Group Training Summer Sweat Session Two

Registration is open for RecWell’s Small Group Training program Summer Sweat Session Two. Participants work with a certified personal trainer to learn the foundational methods of cardio and resistance training and program design, using a variety of equipment throughout the fitness center to build skill and knowledge of proper technique and progressions. Motor Learning Study (Located at the VCU Collaborative Advanced Research Imaging Center on the Monroe Park Campus)

We are currently recruiting participants for a motor learning study. This research is being done to investigate how you learn new movements. You will be asked to complete an MRI scan while wearing an electrode cap and playing a virtual joystick game. You must be right-handed and between the ages of 18 and 40 to participate. LGBTQIA+/First-Generation Student Research Study - Paid Opportunity

Participants are sought who can attend three 90-minute sessions, are open to sharing their experience and willing to photograph their "voice." Participants will be paid $25 for each session.
