RecWell Faculty/Staff Summer Pickleball League

RecWell invites all faculty and staff to participate in a summer indoor pickleball league, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3-5 p.m., through Thursday, July 25. RecWell Adult Beginner Swim Lessons Session Two

RecWell offers adult beginner swim lessons geared for participants who are comfortable in the water but wish to learn basic skills such as floating, treading water and coordination for swimming strokes. Lessons will primarily be taught in shallow water, but participants will practice supporting themselves in deeper water throughout the class. Summer Session Two runs Monday, July 15-Saturday, Aug. 17, Monday/Wednesday, 6:05-7 p.m. at Cary Street Gym Aquatic Center, 101 S. Linden St. Register by Friday, July 12 at noon. Participants Are Invited for Study Examining the Impact of Acute and Chronic Stress on Cardiovascular Health

Individuals between the ages of 18 and 30 who identify as Black or African American are invited to participate in a research study examining the effect of acute and chronic stress on cardiovascular and inflammation responses to an acute mental challenge. Raffle drawings for financial compensation will be conducted. This study will take place at 500 Academic Centre on VCU’s Monroe Park Campus.
