VCU Learning Systems will sponsor free online training designed to help with semester transition. The session will provide an overview of how students are enrolled in Canvas courses, how multiple course sections can be merged into one course, how to use Canvas groups and how to manage a merged course. Fall Boot Camp Live

SHRM Exam Prep

VCU's Center for Corporate Education will virtually present Society for Human Resource Management Exam Prep. Prepare for the SHRM-CP or SHRM-CSP exam with a practicing HR leader and SHRM-certified instructor. This course runs for 14 weeks on Tuesdays from Aug. 30-Dec.13. Recovery Scholarship Application
VCU's Rams in Recovery and the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services invite any student interested in recovery from substance use and mental disorders to apply for a scholarship. Program requirements include attending one community meeting per month and a weekly seminar with other students in recovery. Applicants must have abstained four-plus months. Interprofessional Development Opportunity in Geriatrics
The Virginia Geriatric Education Center, housed in VCU’s Virginia Center on Aging, is accepting applications for its annual faculty/clinicians development program. Creating Interprofessional Readiness for Complex and Aging Adults is a case-based learning experience that creates age-friendly practitioners who are knowledgeable about person-centered care. Do You Vape?
Individuals between the ages of 18-65 who vape nicotine-containing e-cigarettes are invited to participate in a research study that examines the effects of vaping on eating behavior. Two, three-hour laboratory visits, each with a buffet meal, are required. Compensation is provided. Principal Investigators are Andrew Barnes, Ph.D., Department of Health Behavior and Policy, and Caroline Cobb, Ph.D., Department of Psychology.
