VCU, City of Richmond To Hold Training Exercise on July 25

VCU and the City of Richmond will conduct a training exercise on Thursday, July 25, outside University Student Commons on VCU’s Monroe Park Campus. There will be a heavy presence of police, EMTs, firefighters and emergency vehicles from various agencies in the area. The exercise will include a simulated hazardous materials emergency and volunteers will role-play as victims on site. University Student Commons and the Grace E. Harris Hall Auditorium, as well as the walkway between these facilities, will be closed to the public during the training.

There will be road closures on Thursday, July 25 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. to include: 1) North Linden Street between Park Avenue and Floyd Avenue, 2) Floyd Avenue between North Harrison and North Cherry streets and 3) North Cherry Street between Floyd Avenue and West Main Street. Street parking will not be available during the exercise on West Main Street between Cherry Street and Floyd Avenue.

Loop Catalog is a comprehensive HiChIP database of human and mouse samples. HiChIP enables cost-effective and high-resolution profiling of regulatory and structural loops. The catalog (https://loopcatalog.lji.org) was developed to leverage the increasing number of publicly available HiChIP datasets from diverse cell lines and primary cells. Jasmohan Bajaj, M.D., is conducting a research study for males and females that is breaking barriers to access to dental care and identifying if dental disease worsens in patients with liver disease.
