The Alzheimer's Association will host Memory Café at VCU Health Hub, 1330 N. 25th St. Join for a fun, social space for those with early-stage memory loss to connect, while care partners gain support and information. The bonds formed in Memory Cafés often last throughout the continuum of the disease and become additional support for those involved.

Participate in Two Psychology Studies (Compensation and New Signup Dates/Times Available)

VCU Psychology invites participation in two studies on the Monroe Park campus for which compensation is available. One: A study on including video materials in school teaching to make classes more engaging. Two: A study on how people react to fictional characters. Those who take part will fill out a 10-minute online questionnaire and then complete both studies in one lab session that will take about an hour. RecWell Small Group Training: Summer Sweat Session 1
Registration is open for RecWell’s small group training program, Summer Sweat. Participants work with a certified personal trainer to learn the foundational methods of cardio and resistance training and program design using a variety of equipment throughout the fitness center to build skill and knowledge of proper technique and progressions. VCU Police and VCU Parking and Transportation Report Upcoming High School Graduation Impacts
VCU Police and VCU Parking and Transportation remind the VCU community that upcoming high school graduations will create interruptions to parking from May 19-23 (Monday through Friday) and May 28-30 (Wednesday through Friday). Additionally, traffic surrounding the Siegel Center is expected to be heavier than normal. West Broad Street Deck subscribers will relocate to alternate facilities and a dedicated shuttle service will be provided. Reciprocal parking will be disabled at West Broad St. Deck from May 19-23 and May 28-30. See additional information at the following URL.

Pass/Fail and Withdrawal Deadlines Extended One Week Starting Fall 2025
To support students in making informed academic decisions, the pass/fail and withdrawal date will be extended by one week beginning in Fall 2025. This change provides students with an additional week to evaluate their progress in the course and make a plan with their academic adviser or academic coach to successfully complete the course or withdraw if necessary. Individuals between the ages of 18 and 30 who identify as Black or African American are invited to participate in a research study examining the effect of acute and chronic stress on cardiovascular and inflammation responses to an acute mental challenge. Raffle drawings for financial compensation will be conducted. This study will take place at 500 Academic Centre on VCU’s Monroe Park Campus. This study is inviting individuals between the ages of 18 and 30 who identify as LGBTQ. We are also inviting individuals between the ages of 18 and 30 who identify as cis-gender heterosexual for the control group. The purpose of this research study is to examine the effect of chronic psychosocial stress and vascular inflammation to an acute mental challenge.
