Call for Abstracts - National Conference on Undergraduate Research at VCU

In partnership with VCU, the National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) will take place at the Greater Richmond Convention Center April 13-15, 2026. NCUR is dedicated to promoting undergraduate research, scholarship and creative activity in all fields of study by sponsoring an annual conference for students. For VCU undergraduates interested in presenting at NCUR in Richmond: abstracts are due no later than Friday, Dec. 5; the Office of Undergraduate Research with University College will cover registration costs, including lunch, for the first 400 VCU students accepted to present at NCUR; and our office will print your poster for you, free of cost, if received by the deadline of April 1, 2026. A Health App for Young Black Women: Tell Me, What Would You Want?

Black women ages 18-35 who have no experience with resistance exercise (e.g., lifting weights, resistance bands, body weight exercises) are invited to share their perspectives about resistance exercise and their desired features of a mobile app aimed to help guide and track their exercise regimens. Be Part of Our Study on Family Mealtimes and Health Among Black Families (Compensation Provided)

Black parents, caregivers and their children (ages 8-12) are invited to share their experiences with race, family mealtimes and health through small group conversations in the Richmond area. This feedback will inform future community programming that promotes family discussions about race, nutritious meals and more.
