VCU Police To Conduct Training on South Linden Street Today
VCU Police will conduct a training exercise from 8 a.m. to noon today, Wednesday, March 11. Community members may see an increased presence of law enforcement officers at the Mary and Frances Youth Center, 120 S. Linden St., during this time related to the training. VCU Police will remain fully staffed during the exercise. Community members can always call (804) 828-1234 (emergency) or (804) 828-1196 (non-emergency) to reach VCU Police 24/7.

'Between the Shadows and Sunshine' Faculty Recital

Flutist Tabatha Easley and pianist Daniel Stipe will present their flute and piano recital at the W.E. Singleton Center for the Performing Arts, 922 Park Ave. The program will feature works by Aram Khachaturian and Sergei Prokofiev, both written in the 1940s during a turbulent time in Soviet history. Thematic material in the music highlights lyricism and introspection, contrasted by extroverted sentiments and folk melodies. Tickets are $5 for VCU students $14 for the general public.
