Faculty Learning Community: Reimagining Health Sciences Education

VCU's Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence will host a health sciences faculty learning community that will work to develop effective pedagogies for addressing systemic racism and implicit bias in health sciences education. The goal is to move toward inclusive teaching to ensure access to educational opportunities and enhance student involvement. MCV Campus Aquatic Center Closed For Repairs

In order to address structural concerns, the MCV Campus Aquatic Center has closed. VCU RecWell does not currently have an anticipated reopening date, but an update will be announced once the project timeline is confirmed. The MCV Campus Recreation Center, 900 Turpin St., and all locker room facilities will remain open throughout the repair project. The Cary Street Gym Aquatic Center, 101 S. RecWell Adult Swim Lessons

Patients With Painful Diabetic Neuropathy Are Invited To Participate in a Study of a Potential New Treatment

We are inviting male and female Type 2 diabetes patients with painful diabetic neuropathy ages 18-75 to participate in a research investigation of a new treatment to alleviate pain and examine its effects on pain perception. In addition to the new treatment, this study involves completing surveys and undergoing tests to evaluate perceptions of pain. Volunteers will be compensated for their time. Participants are only required to come once for the study. The study is conducted within the VCU Neuromuscular Rehabilitation Engineering Lab.
